All field dragons are Raid Bosses and often require a large amount of players to defeat.
All boss-type dragons except for Black and White are able to hit for thousands without a critical and will defeat most players in one hit.
Their high damage capability usually grants players the "who Experienced Death" and "who Transcended Death" titles.
With high defensive stats and health as well as Melee Auto Defense, it is possible for a player to survive a dragon's attack without going into the deadly status.
Most dragons have many unique abilities such as Dragon Dash Attack, Tail Attack, Petrification, Dragon Fireball, Advanced Heavy Stander, and level 2 of every Passive Defense.
Dragons do not have basic skills (e.g. - Smash) nor normal attacks. They also have no animation for walking or running (Black and White Dragons are exceptions to this), and therefore, must use Dragon Dash Attack to move around.
The Bone Drake and Bone Dragon are exceptions to this.
Players can hide behind walls or other objects to avoid most of their attacks.
Unlike all other monsters that appear and disappear from a puff of smoke, all field dragons spawn and despawn by flying in and out, respectively.
Using Windmill is dangerous, since it may cause Dragons to use Dragon Dash Attack more often.
It is possible to temporarily halt a dragon with Lullaby, allowing players to prepare before fighting them
Dragons will harm and even kill other creatures in its attack range, such as Sheep, Aardvarks or Mongooses.
If a Dragon is lured too far from its spawn point, it will take into the air, fly back to it, and land.
This does not occur to the White or Black Dragons, however.
Drinking a Dragon Knight's Potion (10 min) increases the user's attack power against all Dragons by 20% for 10 minutes.

Dragons are extremely strong, often taking multiple parties to defeat, or flying away before they can be killed.
Players can hide behind walls or other objects to avoid dragon breath attacks.
Flying pets and other fast-moving mounts are recommended to escape deadly attacks.
Abusing Windmill's temporary invincibility is also an acceptable method of attack/survival, but dangerous. It can also cause some dragons to use Dragon Dash Attack more often.
A system message will appear when a dragon tries to escape. To prevent its escape, try to corner it on a cliff and Windmill (difficult), use Ice Spear, or play Peaceful Magical Music (which can fail). Elven Magic Missile can randomly have the same effect as Ice Spear (unconfirmed to be effective on Dragons).
However, if a dragon's "Spawn" time runs out, it will fly away.
Dragons cannot be knocked back, and are not stunned by any attacks.
It is possible to stay right near the back of the belly and attack there to dodge Stone Breath.
Staying behind the back of the belly may also prevent Tail Attack from successfully hitting.
A good way that to keep the Prairie Dragon from running is to strand it under a tree. When It attempts to fly up it will not be able to.
Final Hit and regular attacks will keep it stranded, however anything other than those, including windmill, seem to cause it to Dragon Dash Attack away. It is possible to completely freeze the prairie dragon with 5 players using continuous windmill in a timed clockwise cycle, but doing so is very hard, and is not recommended unless you bring people you know along with you.
Successfully sketching it gets you 1,200 Exploration EXP.
Strongest dragon in terms of damage.
Spawn area is a no flight zone.
Has multiple places to target for attack. Some of its attacks may be sealed based on which area you target.
Weather will change when it is going to use Rain of Thunder. Attacking its wings triggers this.
Dragon Fear will halve your Mana and Stamina and cancels pet summons.
It uses Tail Attack faster than rank 9 Windmill; this attack has twice the stun time of other dragons' Tail Attack.
It usually Stampedes after it lands from doing Meteor.
The Dragon will only hang around for 30 minutes before leaving if it hasn't been killed.
As of the 2/22/10 update, the Red Dragon's AI has been completely redone. It is now much harder to kill, windmill does not cancel its skills, and it attacks much more frequently with almost no grace periods between attacks.
Traditional strategies don't work as well.
If you only have a few people with you, it is recommended to attack the chest area. This way, you are too close for it to use breath attacks, and the tail doesn't hit you as often.
It is completely possible for someone with high ranked Ranged Attack and Arrow Revolver to take down Cromm Cruiach in a matter of minutes if a camp fire is available. They just need to find the angle behind the fire where they can shoot, but can't be hit. It is advised that another person be ready to set up another camp fire or have feathers, in case something goes wrong.
It is suggested to utilize 2 people fighting and one person using party feathers for when they die.
The party feather person should stand behind camp fires as much as possible.
The 2 fighters are suggested to use Windmill as much as possible for invincibility for when he uses Stampede or Petrification.
When he flies up into the air to use Meteor, it is wise to summon a mount and run as far back as possible to the edge of the map. If you zoom out and look at him in air you will be able to tell how many more things will rain down. When they are all gone, it is safe to run back to where he will land and prepare an attack.
Another method for dodging Meteor is to follow Crumena shadow and stand about a horse's length behind it.
Its wise to not allow him to use Rain of Thunder, no matter how far you are theres a 50% chance you will get hit with it.
Having 3 or more players using high level Windmill between his legs, hitting both legs and possibly his tail, may make him unable to move or attack. He is then easily defeated without casulties. This can also be used as a solo method if a player can Windmill both of his legs and his tail at once.
An alternative method can use two players attacking the legs while having their pets attacking the tail.
Players targeting the chest or back have a much greater chance to bypass Crumena's defenses and deal more damage.
